KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten is a creative and dynamic learning environment.

DEVELOPING NATURAL CURIOSITY, PHONICS AND COLLABORATION SKILLS

Students are encouraged to develop their natural curiosity and wonder about God’s world.

In Kindergarten, students participate in a synthetic phonics program which provides children the confidence to develop skills to read and write. We have a hands-on approach to Mathematics that involves critical thinking and problem solving.

Students will develop collaborative and cooperative skills through group work. They are provided opportunities to use technology in innovative ways. In Kindergarten, we use an interdisciplinary approach to STEM education where students are provided many leaning opportunities to explore areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

MOTOR SKILLS, SPORTS, INCURSIONS AND COMMUNITY EVENTS

Our students participate in an exciting perceptual Gross Motor program, as well as taking part in our specialised PE lessons that include swimming, dance, Hot Shots tennis and football (soccer).

Kindergarten students have opportunities to take part in many incursions throughout the year.

We also love to celebrate community with special events such at Mums and Muffins, Dads and Doughnuts and Farm Day.
